The Awesome Turtle 2

"Did you spend like 5 minutes on this?!"

date: June 9, 2009

This is worthless. It has nothing good about it: retarted graphics, absolutely no animation, stupid music and there's just no point for it to exist. Please spend at least a week on your submissions.

There Was This One Time

"It was decent."

date: May 11, 2009

Here's my long review or whatever:

Graphics
As far as the character designs go, I'd say they were decent. My favorite character, visually anyway, was the bat. I really liked the way his suit changed into his wings. My least favorite would have to be the rhino, the shoulder pad things he had on made him look too much like Nappa, which was kind of distracting for some reason.

I really liked the animtion. It was very smooth and pretty well thought out. I especially liked some of the more subtle animation you did with the bat character.

The backgrounds were pretty boring. I know that the group is playing cards in a dimly lit room, but I think it would have been much better to actually see dark walls and objects in the background rather than just a gradient. Also, most the shots were mid-range to closeup with mainly front and side view angles, which can be kind of dull if used too many times. They can be good for some things, but not good for everything. For instance, when the three get locked in the cage; Showing the bars closing on them with the mid-range view was good, but afterwords, when you showed the whole cage, it would have been better if it was from farther away and maybe at a different angle.

Sound
The music was well composed and set the mood perfectly.

The voice acting was excellent for the most part, and even though I personally found some of the voices annoying, the lines were delivered very well and the voices matched well with the characters. However, I really didn't like the old man's laugh. It was the one thing that sounded fake to me and it kind of ruined the moment for me. My favorite voice was the rhino's. The reason being he sounds just like Nappa from Dbz abridged, who is one of the funniest characters.

Story
There's not much to say about the story since it was pretty random. I felt it was kind of boring. Nothing really interesting happened up until the old man locked them in the cage, which was near the end.

As far as the humor goes, I didn't really laugh at anything, but that's just how I am. Very few things make me laugh when I watch them alone. I guess I just have a bad sense of humor or something.

Overall I think it had good quality, voices, and animation, but the story was pretty lacking and it was missing charm. I give it a 6/10.

Mario Party 287:
I really liked this one. The way the characters moved was hilarious.

Excitebike Wipeout:
It was good, but too predictable.

Low, Low, Low:
I haven't played the game so I wouldn't get it.

Olimar Forgot:
Also haven't played the game.

Revenge of MetaKnight:
The animation and camera angles were excellent, but it wasn't that funny.

Duckbill Hunting:
This one was great, quite unexpected. I love the way one of the ducks said "Get that fuckin dog!" It made me laugh.

Starfox Perventures:
Best animation ever. And really good draftsmanship as well.

The Majesty of R.O.B.:
Don't get it.

Campfire of the Four Swords:
I've heard the pink link's "fabulous" way too many times, but the rest was good.

Kongcest:
Not very funny. But good animation.

Crazy Wario's Micro Game Emporium:
Not the funniest, but it made me laugh a litttle.

Planet of the Kongs:
The japanese guy was hilarious.

Cook:
Not very funny.

Masterhand Throws a Fist:
I laughed at this.

Pokemonsnap XXX:
Some funny moments, but not that funny.

Fire Emblem Truths:
Lol, I don't know a thing about Fire Emblem either.

Starfox Drama Mission:
Loved the animation.

Pokemon: The 5th Generation:
Soooo true. And hilarious.

Tonight, on Tetris:
Not laugh out loud funny, but good in it's own way.

Subspace Emmissary: The Final Battle:
Once again, something I don't get.

Overall, the flash had some great moments, but wasn't as funny as it could've been.

Blockhead: Episode 11

"Not nearly as good as the original seven or eight."

date: January 13, 2009

Blockhead, at the beginning of the flash, seemed like his normal self, rude, funny, and unpredictable. But as the flash progressed, he started acting too normal. He wasn't being blockhead anymore. Also, his evil side was, to me, a pointless character.

Blockhead's conscience doesn't seem like the same as the ones from the older flashes. He's changed from funny, angry, and sarcastic to just angry and suffering, which isn't funny.

We finally come to the weavel. I don't think the character should be in blockhead at all. He's disgusting and pitiful, therefore unfunny to me and was only good in the first episode he appeared in.

The flash had good animation, backgrounds, and sound. But it just wasn't funny to me. (but, that might just be me because almost every other user thought it was funny. I guess my sense of humor is poor)

Serpent's Grave :Pitch:

"The animation was good and all but..."

date: January 13, 2009

The designs were decent, the animation was good, the music was excellent. But, there were a few things I didn't like.

First of all, there were too many closeup shots. I know there's probably not going to be that many closeup shots in the actual movie, but the trailer or pitch should have a bigger variety in shots, some closeup, some full body, maybe even some really wide shots. The shot's you chose were mainly closeup and extreme closeup shots. With closeup shots, it's more difficult to tell what's going on.

I also think that there were a few shots that needed to last a little longer. Like the shot of the guy in the science lab type place. It went away too quickly. (but maybe you did that because you didn't want to give away any of the story, if that's the case, then you should have flashed it faster) And there were a few other shot's that seemed kind of jerky, like they should've been either faster or slower.

Most of the camera angles I saw were forward, backward and side shots. You should try adding some bird's eye shots, or worms eye shots, or different shots than just foward, backward, and side. It would make the movie a whole lot more fun to watch and therefore, a whole lot better.

And lastly, it was hard to tell what the story was. It looked like a bunch of random scenes jumbled together without a cohesive plot. Even if it's just a pitch, there should be some semblance of story. There was some characters, backgrounds, and music, but no story for them to back up.

Sorry If I'm hard too understand, I'm not too good at writing.

Tall 'n Short

"Congratulations, the only good one."

submission: Tall 'n Short
date: January 13, 2009

All the other shape flashes of this type are worthless. This one actually made me laugh. Plus it was the only one that had real emotion in the voice acting so I'll give you 3 stars for that. But please, don't do another one.

I think all of you guys are doing this to make a point, users on newgrounds will vote 5 on anything as long as they're first, second, or third favorite artist creates it. They might even vote based upon how high someone is on the userlist.

It's ridiculous how stupid many newgrounds users can be.

"A Slice of the Action"

"The animation part was mostly good."

date: September 18, 2008

I didn't like the lip-syncing very much though. It didn't look like he was saying what he was saying, his jaw didn't move low enough and the syncing seemed to be off at certain places.

I didn't like the humour too much either, not because it was gruesome or violent, just because it wasn't funny. It was to random for such a non-random setting or something like that. I just didn't like it.

Next time, try making the talking look better and also write better jokes.

It's a decent game but it would be better with sound effects and maybe a little better graphics.
